THE KILLER

"Better Judged by Twelve Than Carried by Six" (Organized Crime)

Reviewed by Mike SOS

Seething with hardcore might and muscle, the five guys that comprise The Killer do a bang up job pouring out their aggression into nine tracks of skull shattering punishment.

Armed with an obvious tough guy, hardcore mentality and a heavy handed, chugging guitar attack, tunes like the NYHC beatdown-inspired "Where Will You Go" and the anthemic yet brutal "I Know What I Am" are perfect extensions to your Hatebreed and Madball album collection, while the faster songs - like the angry "The Confessions of an Escape Artist" - sound as though they could present some trouble in moshpits across the country.

Metalcore at its most basic, "Better Judged by Twelve Than Carried by Six" smacks you in the head like an errant combat boot and leaves you with the scars to prove it.
