JASON BIELER AND
THE BARON VON BIELSKI ORCHESTRA

"Postcards from the Asylum" (Baron Von Bielski; 2023)

Jason Bieler And The Baron Von Bielski Orchestra. The recording is called "Postcards from the Asylum." Wow, that is a mouthful! Jason Bieler of the metal band Saigon Kick (check out reviews, this site), Super TransAtlantic and Owl Stretching and various solo projects. This is what Jason says about his latest band: "Jason Bieler is a post apocalyptic troubadour with a penchant for the sonically grotesque an amateur surgeon water diviner, a living saint as recognized by the church of the obscenely nonsensical donation."

I think this dude needs to work on his self esteem.

The band working with Jason on this project is from sources that most everyone would know: Andee Blacksugar (Blondie, KMFDM), Marco Minnemann (Slash & The Conspirators, Torgue), Edu Cominato (Geoff Tate) and Ryo Okumototo (Spock’s Beard), plus others.

One thing I hate is labels in rock'n'roll: prog, black metal, doom, thrash, grunge. It all gives me a fucking headache! I like what I like, no matter the label society has put on my music. This music runs the gamut of quality music: soft ballads, heavy rock, and frankly some forms of music that I just can’t quite figure out.

"Postcards from the Asylum" is good, and I like it. What the hell else do you need to know? Check it out for yourself!
