ILL GOTTEN GAINZ

"The Pet Goat" (Burnt Ramen; 2006)

Reviewed by Snidermann

Not only does the band Ill Gotten Gainz have a very cool name, they rock like nobody's business.

"The Pet Goat" has a dark punk sound, with a straight rock'n'roll mix that is hard not to like. Plus, you can tell that this band is having a good time making music. Take, for example, their songs "Everything Is F.U.N." (F.U.N. stands for "fucked up now") and "Vampires In Space." You gotta love that!

Sometimes the music gets a little too weird for me but, overall, this is a high quality, highly diversified and very well done CD.
