Hog Molly are named after a North American fish. That makes sense, because there's something fishy about this CD.
Formed by TAD founder, Tad Doyle, HOG MOLLY writes and plays music that just goes all over the place. As many times as I spun this CD, I simply could not get a feel for what the hell this band was all about. For the most part, the music is disjointed and uneven and, for the life of me, I could never figure out what the songs were about. The lyrics and vocals were just plain, well, weird.
Not knowing what a band is all about has never stopped me before. In fact, sometimes I like the mystery of it all. But, with Hog Molly, nothing clicked at all. Admittedly, not all of the music was unreachable - some of it was actually pretty cool and original - but too much of it was.
Fans of TAD might get this record. Sadly, I did not.
HOG MOLLY are Ty Satan, Tadarth Tadillac Seville, Slimmy Disbolus, Martinus Maximux and Matt E. “Sped Thunderphist” Stirm.

Self explanatory. Just the sight of the
cover makes you wanna hurl.
