HEAD ON COLLISION
"Ritual Sacrifice" (Beer City Records; 2008)

Hot damn, I love this resurgence in thrash! With bands like Municipal Waste, Skeletonwitch and Silent Civilian delivering the goods, and Metallica promising to again, heavy metal kicks ass once more!
Add Head On Collision and their "Ritual Sacrifice" to the list of bands paying tribute to the classic thrash sound. "Ritual Sacrifice" is 11 tracks of blindingly fast thrash metal, sounding a lot like early Metallica or virtually any era Slayer. The chops are blistering, the leads are razor sharp and the rhythm section nothing short of thundering. Put this CD on and hold tight. You're going to be taken for a chaotic ride!
Head on Collision make no apologies for delivering their skull-pulverizing sound and they have no qualms about doing it old school. Yeah, there's a glut of thrash bands out there these days, and some of them just don't have the chops to pull it off. Head On Collision does. And then some.
Head on Collision: Pat McCauley - guitar; John Hancock - guitar; Jason Brook - drums; Dave Carr - bass.
