As of this writing, I don't know much about Grade 8 but I will soon know more. Why? Because Grade 8 is simply one of the best new bands I have heard in a long while.

Grade 8's self-titled Lava Records debut is loud and in-your-face from the first moments of the first track. The band sends a continuous maelstrom of emotion screaming from the CD, painted musically and featuring lyrics of substance. Grade 8 thunder their into your heart and your head with a passion and energy that left me wanting more. This band is going to be awesome live. And their songwriting is superb, with the band cramming meaningful lyrical content in every song.

Let me tell you, Grade 8 is one powerful and extremely talented band. They are on tour right now so go check them out and pick up this CD immediately.

Grade 8: Ryan Tooker - Vocals; Dustin Tooker - Guitars; Guy Couturier - Bass; Scotty "Kanikki" Carneghi - Drums.
