GOD IS AN ASTRONAUT

"Origins" (Rocket Girl; 2013)

Reviewed by Snidermann

I am of two minds when it comes to instrumental music. Usually, it's just the lone guitarist out there in front and making great music -- Sam Kazerooni comes to mind (check out Kazerooni reviews here).

Now along comes a band called God is an Astronaut and their recording "Origins." "Origins" was put together in such a way that a vocalist was not needed to broadcast their musical message. The overall musical presentation reminds of such acts as Alan Parsons Project, Emerson Lake and Palmer, Pink Floyd and The Moody Blues.

God is an Astronaut needs no vocalist to put out a great and easily listenable recording.
