GANDHI'S GUN

"Subject to Change" (Self-produced; 2014)

Reviewed by Jeff Rogers

Gandhi's Gun (not to be confused with Gandhi's Gunn -- two n's -- who are stoner metal) are Christian rock. These guys are from San Antonio, Texas and they've been touring with Thousand Foot Krutch to get some exposure. Since I dig TFK I wanted to give this band a proper listening through. Well, it looks like I'll be snagging this disc because the music is heavy and melodic. The vocals are awesome, Mik Rowe has a great voice, and his range is on full display when he's bringing home the gospel.

The guitar is nasty. I love the sound emitting from it. There are some solid chops and the soloing is quite salty.

I'm quite impressed with this trio of dudes that rock and present God via their uplifting lyrics.

Download these tracks: "Test My Faith," "Without You I'm No One," and "Step Back. "

Gandhi's Gun: Mik Rowe, Erin Rowe, Preston Williams.
