F.O.N.
"Adventures in Boredom" (Doc Hollywood)
Reviewed by Snidermann
F.o.N. is light punk that moves quickly and is most fun to listen to. The music starts strong and delivers an action packed experience throughout and, with twelve songs and 44 minutes of music, there's a lot to digest, especially with this kind of music (since most CDs of this type usually run about 30 minutes). But, hey, that was part of the fun of CD.
The band's musicianship is a step above the usual punk band and they use keyboards (yes, keyboards!) to good effect. The only drawback I can see is the total glut of bands of this genre out there already (i.e., Blink 182, Boxcar Racer, Sum 41, The Vines, Good Charlotte, etc.)
Don't let the title fool you. "Adventures In Boredom" is anything but boring. A very strong showing.
F.o.N.: Yigal Adato, vocals; Chris McGraw, lead guitar; Aaron Rubin, rhythm guitar; Alvin Exevea, keyboards; Danny Rubin, bass; Ilan Rubin, drums.
