FLYING BLIND

"Push" (Universal; 2008)

Reviewed by Snidermann

It took me a few spins to get a handle on Flying Blind's "Push." On my first spin, the CD did nothing for me, but eventually I warmed up to what the band are all about.

I think this music might be categorized as "light punk," with solid chord progression, decent vocals (although sometimes a bit too Beach Boys for me), and slightly above average songwriting. All in all, a good CD although sometimes the musical redundancies drag down the pace a bit.

Flying Blind: Scott - drums; Drew - bass; Keith - guitar; Jeff - guitar; Matt - vocals.
