40 WATT DOMAIN
"Short Wave" (Gaki Records; 2004)

40 Watt Domain's "Short Wave" on Gaki Records is a strange mix of light punk, rap, hard rock and sickly pop top 40 crap. Frankly, this CD should suck. Oddly, it doesn’t.
Some of the songs are better than others and some of them, well ... they do suck. All in all, however, "Short Wave" is entertaining and palatable. Music is a strange thing - sometimes it just sticks to you for what seems to be no apparent reason at all. That's the case with "Short Wave." If I were to list everything I like about music, 40 Watt Domain probably wouldn't fit anywhere. Still, I liked "Short Wave." I just can’t say why.
40 Watt Domain: Drew Lynn - vocals and guitar; Rhys Jones - guitar and backing vocals; Mark "Minnesota" Neth on bass; Brendan Etter - drums.
