ELEINE

"We Shall Remain" (Atomic Fire Records; 2023)

Reviewed by Snidermann

If you are reading this review, you know we here at RoughEdge.com love heavy music, be it punk, rock or metal and all the sub-genres. The music on "We Shall Remain"  is metal pure and simple, with some dark symphonic sounds mixed in as well as some black and thrash metal to top things off. That, in my opinion, is a good thing.

I like music that has a strong rhythm section—guitars, bass and drums—or any of combination thereof. I dig metal music, the louder the better, and I love good, growling vocals as well as the next guy. However, if that is the only vocal style present, frankly, I get a little board. However, with Eleine, there is the growler and the female clean singer and let me tell you when they get together, it is pure magic.

This band has it all: great music, killer musicianship and production value that is off the charts. If you like symphonic metal or metal in general, I would strongly suggest you check out Eleine and their album, "We Shall Remain." The music on this album make me wonder what this band is like live. I'll be they're great!
