THE DISTANCE

"Your Closest Enemies" (Bridge Nine; 2002)

Reviewed by Snidermann

"Your Closest Enemies" is a blistering, tumultuous roller coaster ride that I was just getting into and suddenly, bam!, it was over. With a running time of just over eight minutes, even with six songs, there just isn't enough of "Your Closest Enemies" to get a real feel for the band. I know that hardcore, like punk, is supposed to be quick and to the point. But six songs in eight minutes? And that's all? Not nearly enough.

Still, I really like the eight minutes I did hear. I just wish there was more.
