DIGITAL BLACK
"The Chaotic Method" (Demo; 2002)
Reviewed by R. Scott Bolton
This is the missing link, folks! The band that crosses the borders of mainstream and extreme and makes it work!
Digital Black's demo is one of the better demos I've heard. The production is stunning - it sounds like a professional label release. And the music is truly exceptional. Heavy, throbbing tunes that drip with melody but that don't hesitate to grab you by the balls and kick you in the ass. A vocalist who manages to capture that death metal attitude without sounding like a death metal vocalist. Fresh songs that today's audiences will love and that other fans of hard rock / heavy metal will find readily accessible. I'll be stunned if this band isn't signed soon. They'd sound great as part of Ozzfest!
Digital Black: Greg Workman - bass; Jason Garcia - drums; Moshiono - guitar/vocals; Jason Tilley - lead guitar.
