DIECAST

"Day of Reckoning" (Now or Never; 2001)

Reviewed by Snidermann

Not so long ago, I would have considered the vocals of Diecast to be boring and one dimensional.  However, in my never-ending quest for the next metal experience, I realized there is a whole shitload of music out there and that if I limit myself to one kind of music, I might very well miss the next big thing. So I have opened my mind to a whole new musical experience.

"Day Of Reckoning" is to-the-point, no-bullshit hardcore metal with a screaming edge that is twisted and yet not far from my own experiences. There is brutal truth in every song - love lost and not regained, social injustice and pain.

I like Diecast for a few different reasons but the main one is their brutal honesty in saying what is on their mind and their way of doing it with pure hardcore style.

Diecast is Jeremy Wooden, Jason Costa, Jonathan Kita, Colin Schleifer and Kirk Kolatis.
