DETERIOROT

"In Ancient Beliefs" (WW III; 2001)

Reviewed by Rose Grech

Deteriorot's "In Ancient Beliefs" contains 10 dark and haunting death metal songs. The album is comprised of songs from all their demos and promos from 1992- 2000.

Formed in the early 90s they have been playing with such bands as Entombed, Obituary and Unleashed. Their sound can be compared to bands like Incarnation, Bolt Thrower, and early Death. Deteriorot still retains that early 90s death metal sound with thrashing drumbeats and a drowning, monstrous voice.

They are definitely pure death metal from the past and not influenced by any new bands or styles. So if you are still into this kind of music and need a new band to listen to then Deteriorot has what you need.
