DEFORMATORY

"Inversion of the Unseen Horizon" (Independent; 2021)

Reviewed by R. Scott Bolton

Deformatory's "Inversion of the Unseen Horizon" is a solid forty-three minutes of unbelievable brutality and stunning technical excellence. It's a death metal album that dares you to turn away while at the same time never releasing you from its shattering grasp.

Filled with breakneck rhythms and unbelievable blast beats that are nothing short of insane in their fury, raw-throated vocals that will leave your ears ringing and lyrics that make you think, "Inversion of the Unseen Horizon" is epic death metal that you can use to create a bloody mosh pit, tear down your asshole neighbor's brick wall, or drive the cockroaches out of the walls and into the streets.

Track titles include the likes of "Within the Astral Abscess," "Summoning the Cosmic Devourer" and "Masticated by an Infinite Shadow" ... so don't tell me I didn't warn you what you were in for.
