CRYPTS OF DESPAIR

"All Light Swallowed" (Transcending Obscuirty; 2021)

Reviewed by R. Scott Bolton

The title of this album pretty much sums up the way it sounds. "All Light Swallowed" is a veritable wall of bleakness, a thirty-eight minute voyage into hell that we'll leave you exhausted, sweaty and wondering if you're ready to go back to track number one and start it up again.

This ten track collection of death metal rage from the Lithuanian band delivers the goods if it's what you're looking for. It demands your attention throughout its entire running time. Your ravaged brain will be unable to focus on anything else as long as "All Light Swallowed" is playing.
