COPPERHEAD
"Live & Lost" (Eastwinds Records; 2002)
Reviewed by Snidermann
After writing reviews for Rough Edge for over seven years and after reviewing over 800 CDs, I sometimes think that I've heard it all; that I've heard just about every band that has ever been.
Then, something like this happens and I have to add music to the list of things that I don't know what the hell I'm talking about (also included on that list are computers and women).
Copperhead were originally signed to Mercury Records and their first single, "Long Way From Home," was featured in the film "Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man." Another song, “Busted,” was included in the horror film "Dr. Giggles."
So, when Copperhead's CD, "Live and Lost," showed up in my "to-review" basket, I had never heard of the band before. I had no idea what to expect. Holy crap! I was I blown away when I listened to this high quality assortment of hard country rock in the vein of 38 Special and Lynyrd Skynyrd. And this CD just gets better when each and every spin.
If you like Southern rock, you'll love
