CHERRY STREET

"Buster Cherry" (Perris Records; 1999)

Reviewed by R. Scott Bolton

Bluesy, Southern hard rock in the Jackyl vein. Littered with clichés and with a tendency to sometimes drag on a bit, but still very listenable, especially if you're in the mood for gritty, raunchy, rock'n'roll. This CD is definitely Rough-Edged.

Cherry Street: Brian Vollmer - lead vocals; Tom "Monroe" Mathers - guitars; Taz - guitars; Jamie Scott - bass; Don "Spinner" Korbecki - bass; Tom "Kelly" Dobrenty - drums

Rating Guide:

A classic. This record will kick your ass.

Killer. Not a classic but it will rock your world.

So-so. You've heard better.

Pretty bad. Might make a nice coaster.

Self explanatory. Just the sight of the cover makes you wanna hurl.
