CATCH
22
(Ohio)
"Soulreaper: Evilution/Devilution" (Metal on Metal Records; 2008)
Reviewed by Snidermann
Ohio's Catch 22 is one very good band and with a hefty, 2-disc, 22 track release, "Soulreaper: Evilution/Devilution," and it's as good as they promise. The quality of the music is constant all the way through, rocking hard with solid intensity from one cut to the next.
Whenever you hear a band that sounds great, hits on all cylinders and just clicks, you know you are hearing a band that has a good time playing together and has fun. "Soulreaper" is fun and easy to listen to and Catch 22 is just one of those bands that you think about when you are driving down the road trying to keep from falling asleep. "Soulreaper" will keep you awake. The energy is high and you know they are enjoying what they are doing; it's apparent with each and every cut.
