BRUJERIA
"Brujerizmo" (Roadrunner Records)
Reviewed by Kate Smith
Brujeria is a force made to be reckoned with. Although their identity remains a mystery, the members of this band have returned with their third and probably most vicious masterpiece "Brujerizmo."
Brujeria's sound is perhaps closest to old Sepultura or perhaps Napalm Death, especially on tracks such as "Marcha De Odia" and "La Tracion." In fact, it is rumored that one of the members of Brujeria is actually from Napalm Death).
Though the lyrics are entirely in Spanish, the vocals are packed with an aggression that sounds like they're coming from the bowels of Hell itself! All the members of Brujeria bring a powerful drive behind their music and once you pop in this CD, you'll understand the true meaning of total, pure brutality!
