BREAKING POINT
"Beautiful Disorder" (Wind-Up Records; 2005)
Reviewed by Snidermann
As the name of this website implies, we here at RoughEdge.com like our music ... well, rough. "Breaking Point's "Beautiful Disorder" is anything but rough.
Instead, "Beautiful Disorder" is slickly sweet rock'n'roll with a two man harmony and lots of broken heart shit. That may work for many FM or even AM radio stations, but it doesn't work for Rough Edge readers.
The music here is done well enough, but it's way too slow and way too sappy to get a solid grip on it. I mean, come on, the title of the CD is "Beautiful Disorder" ... well you can guess where it goes from there.
Not a dreadful CD but a CD in need of more speed and more muscle.

"Coming of Age" (Wind-Up Records; 2001)

Memphis, TN is still bringing music to those who appreciate it. Breaking Point is a band you may have heard of but haven't really heard. Their music is fresh and it rocks with an intensity and emotion that is sometimes lacking in music today. Breaking Point had some radio play with the song
"27." The vocals are strong and the guitar is stronger. This is an great CD. Josey Scott of Saliva lends his rap style on
“Brother.”
“Live for Today” is one of the slower tracks but I think it has a certain feeling that goes with the CD. It's one of the best finds to add to your music library.
Other great songs include “Coming of Age,” “27,” “Falling Down,” and “Phoenix.”
Breaking Point: Brett Erickson - Vocals, Guitar; Greg Edmondson - Bass; Justin Rimer - Lead Guitar; Jody Abbott - Drums.

"Coming of Age" (Wind-Up Records; 2001)

"Coming Of Age" is the debut CD for this four man group from Memphis, Tennessee.
Breaking Point have a nu-metal sound which reminds me a little of Three Doors Down. Track four, "Phoenix," is a great song that would get any mosh pit going. However, they slam on the brakes with track five, "Live For Today," which is more of a ballad.
The title song, "Coming Of Age," hit #1 on the Memphis station
WMFS, so you see these guys have got potential. Check 'em out!
