Black Smoke Trigger, a rock band out of New Zealand, is simply what rock music is all about. A four man group that really puts the passion and fun back in rock ... or their version of reality. As you listen to the music it transports you to their version of reality and, frankly, isn't that the reason for music? To transport your reality to theirs, even for a short time? Well, Black Smoke Trigger does that with gusto and talent.
This recording is called "Horizons" and it really displays the talent, songwriting ability, musical ability and charisma of the band. Every aspect of these musicians is showcased in this recording and it literally explodes like a thunderclap. The emotions spew forth about everyday topics like lost love, with an extreme song called "Psycho" about a one night stand gone sideways.
The recording is full of a graphic images that just make the listening experience more enjoyable. Black Smoke Trigger have been around since 2019, and deserve some serious consideration. This is one band, and one recording, well worth the attention.
