BIGELF

"Hex" (Custard; 2005)

Reviewed by Snidermann

"Hex" was my first experience with Bigelf and from that experience, it is my opinion that this band is fund and should be writing movie scores.

From the very first cut, you know that what is being presented here is something special. I thought I was listening to an off-center version of The Who’s "Tommy." "Hex" is that different and that entertaining.  The band's songwriting ability is outstanding and, along with superb musicianship and tongue-in-cheek musical style, Bigelf is a very fun band to behold.

Go to YouTube.com and check out some of their material.  If you can't listen to the entire CD, seeing the band doing their thing for even just one track is the next best thing.  If you like what you see, by all means pick up "Hex." It will be the start of a great journey.
