BIG BABY SATAN

"Big Baby Satan" (BBS; 2003)

Reviewed by Mike SOS

Big Baby Satan is a grinding metal act hailing from New York's version of suburban utopia - Long Island. These nine skull-bashing tracks are raw, direct, and as heavy as a box of bricks. Imagine Pro-Pain mixing it up with Crowbar in some hole-in-the-wall bar, and you've got an idea of what Big Baby Satan is all about.

Evil rhythms and driving guitars are staples here, and the band's homage to the diminutive metal king, Ronnie James Dio, is a funny diatribe not to be missed. Big Baby Satan gets horned hands and demonic props for whipping up some solid doses of metal.
