LEE AARON

"Radio On!" (Metalville; 2021)

Reviewed by Snidermann

I have been a big fan of female rock/metal singers since I first heard The Runaways in 1978. That was just the start. Along came Pat Benatar, Lita Ford and Doro Pesch. The die has been cast. Female metal singers make my blood boil, but in a good way.

I found on an internet search a group/singer called Lee Aaron and, after a few spins, I have found my new band to review. This Canadian band has been around since the 80s and, frankly, I had never heard of them. That just goes to show you?more bands than time to review! (Well, I plan on making up for that).

The name of this recording is "Radio On!" And what I found from the first spin, this shit rocks like a motherfucker. I do not say this lightly, I mean what I say in these reviews and what I found out here that this is simply one of the best blind reviews I have witnessed in quite some time.

The band is kick ass (Google them to see what their line-up is and has been). This band is a no-nonsense rock outfit that puts everything on the line with each and every song. Nothing is held back, there are no hidden meanings, no ulterior motives, just good solid rock'n'roll music.

Where the hell has this been since 1984 when they put their first recording out? Kick-ass rock music from the very first track. Great and fun hooks are the norm in this really good recording. I think I may have to review more of this awesome band so keep checking back.

To quote a lyric from this recording, "If you got to go, go on strong; I want to die with the radio on!"
