ASSKICKER

"The Barley And Yeast Brain Glaze" (Self-produced)

Reviewed by Snidermann

Asskicker gets the Rough Edge Award for most aptly named band because they do just that - kick ass, plain and simple.

Thunderous from the start, Asskicker paints a bleak, dark and warped version of reality that sucks you in hard and fast. This Michigan band is one of the best heavy metal/hard rock acts I've heard in awhile and, if this release is any indication of what to expect, Asskicker is going to be big.

This is what metal should be: hard, fast, loud and outstanding music with tongue-in-cheek songs that are fun to listen to and that kick your metal ass the entire way.  This shit is for real and I strongly recommend Asskicker to anybody who needs a good ass kickin'!

Asskicker: Frank Lazorishchak - vocals; Ryan Mazur - guitar; Mike Gay - bass; Derek Mitea - drums.
