ARKENSTONE

"Dead Human Resource" (Casket Music; 2008)

Reviewed by Snidermann

The potential for greatness is as hard to distinguish but I think I have found such a talent in the band Arkenstone.

From the beginning of this CD, I knew something was different about this band, a certain something that was elusive and hard to describe. In my business that is the kiss of death, so I'm going to try anyway.

Arkenstone's musical presentation is something to behold, tight and powerful right out of the gate. "Dead Human Resource" is straight, right-to-the-heart-of-the-matter heavy music with no apologies. It's ten full tracks of ear-splitting, heavy metal music.

The only negative I can think of is that when the band finds a phrase they like, they tend to overplay it throughout the course of the song.

As you can see from their website at http://www.arkenstone.gr Arkenstone has been around for awhile and they really know how to make some killer metal.

Rating Guide:

A classic. This record will kick your ass.

Killer. Not a classic but it will rock your world.

So-so. You've heard better.

Pretty bad. Might make a nice coaster.

Self explanatory. Just the sight of the cover makes you wanna hurl.
