AGGRESSION A.D.
"Forgotten Skeleton" (Profusion; 2004)
Reviewed by R. Scott Bolton
"Forgotten Skeleton" is the long lost album from the original Aggression (circa 1984). Finally released for the first time, this new edition contains 11 album tracks and three demos.
Most of the CD is high energy thrash/death metal that delivers a solid (and probably fresh at the time) dosage of racing tempos, fast riffs and heavy beats. Considering that the original CD is nearly 20 years old now, the production is above average as well.
Still, this is more of a collector's item than anything else. Fans of the band will definitely want to add this to their collection as will death and thrash metal historians but the average fan won't find anything on "Forgotten Skeleton" that isn't on countless other albums in the same genre.
Aggression: Eric "Botcher" Langlois - vocals; Bernard "Burn" Caudron - lead and rhythm guitars; Yves "Dug" Duguay - bass, guitar; Gaetan "Gate" Bourassa - drums; Dennis "Sasquatch" Barthe - lead and rhythm guitars.
